Admissions
Information and documents about our school admissions.
The Local Authority oversee all admission arrangements for our school including admission arrangements for children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). All information can be found on the links below.
The admissions authority has set its Published Admission Number (PAN) at 15 pupils to be admitted to reception, in the school year beginning in the September following a child’s 4th birthday.
Policies and documents in relation to admissions can all be found on our policies page linked below.
If you would like your child to attend our school please visit the Durham County Council website (shown below) for information regarding the school admission process and primary school admissions. To appeal against an admission decision visit.
Where a parent has been notified that a place is not available for a child, every effort will be made by the local authority to help the parent to find a place in a suitable alternative school. Parents who are refused a place have a statutory right of appeal. Further details of the appeals process are available by writing to the school.
An application can be made for a place for a child at any time outside the admission round and the child will be admitted where there are available places. An application should be made to the school by completing the in-year admissions form. This can be obtained by contacting the local authority admission team at School Places and Admissions, Children and Young People’s Services, County Hall, Durham, County Durham, DH1 5UJ.
Tel: 03000 265 896 or by email at schooladmissions@durham.gov.uk
Where there are places available but more applications than places, the published oversubscription criteria will be applied. Parents are advised to read the admission arrangements carefully before making their application.
If there are no places available, the child will be added to the waiting list. Please see the admission arrangements for more details.
You will be advised of the outcome of your application in writing as soon as possible. Applicants must be informed of the outcome of their application within 15 school days of receipt, but the aim is to notify applicants of the outcome of their application within 10 school days of receipt.
You have the right to appeal to an independent appeal panel if your application is unsuccessful.
