Welcome

As Headteacher, I believe that every child has the potential to achieve greatness and feel privileged to be able to play a part in shaping their unique learning journey.

Our school is a safe, happy and stimulating learning environment where personality, talents and interests are nurtured and developed to the full; a place where children can contribute and make a positive difference. The staff at St Mary’s believe in the power of education to transform lives and the right of every child to receive the best possible educational experience. Our whole school team is dedicated to helping our children to grow and flourish, so that they become successful, confident learners who are well prepared for the next stage in their learning journey.

Our Values

We aim to provide every child with a solid foundation so that they leave our school equipped with the knowledge, skills and attributes that they will need for the next stage of their learning journey, and beyond. We have high expectations and aim to inspire children to have high aspirations for themselves and their future. We seek to provide opportunities for children to develop positive attitudes to learning and key skills such as creativity, resilience, problem solving and independence, skills that they will be able to apply throughout their lives.

As a Catholic school, Christ is at the centre of our community. We are a loving community, where everyone is welcomed and valued equally. We aim to ensure that all children recognise their self-worth, understand that they have a unique contribution to make to the world and value themselves as members of a global family. We provide opportunities for children to use their talents and skills to contribute positively to the school community, and to respond to the needs of the wider world, in order to prepare them to be responsible, caring and active citizens in the world.

Letters

We send out letters and newsletters on a regular basis to keep parents up to date with school decisions and progress.

At St Mary’s, we keep our parents, carers and families informed about upcoming events and celebrations of our children’s successes. Regularly, we publish a newsletter, which is sent out electronically to all of our parents and is made available on this page.
